Today's Beautiful Hadith is about Sadaqa
Abu Dharr (RA) is reported as saying, "Your putting some of the water from your bucket in your brother's bucket is sadaqa. Your removing stones, thorns and bones from people's path is sadaqa. Your guiding a man in a place where there are no guides is sadaqa.".
Today’s Beautiful Message is about the Indonesia earthquake
It's been over 1 week since the tragic earthquake which killed thousands of people in Indonesia and misplaced many many more. 65,000 homes have been destroyed and thousands of people are in desperate need of food, water, healthcare and fuel.
One story really stood out and touched us all. There was a 17 year Muslim waitress who was trapped in the rubble for 3 whole days. Her father sat next to her for 3 whole days, feeding her, giving her water and consoling her. They had to amputate her legs in front of her father. It was so tragic.
There are so many other sad stories which have affected children in particular and as a result here on HOTD we have decided to do a sponsored skydive to raise funds for the victims of Indonesia earthquake.
Allah has given us a lot, it's time now for us to give back to the people who need it.

Today’s Beautiful Hadith is about Charity
Abu Huraira (RA) reported Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) as saying: Charity does not in any way decrease the wealth and the servant who forgives Allah adds to his respect, and the one who shows humility Allah elevates him in the estimation (of the people).
(Sahih Muslim, Book 45, Hadith 90).
